Rediscovering music by simulating the joy of physical albums digitally
Overview
Inspired by the joy of physical albums, FutroM reimagines music browsing for album collectors and visual thinkers. By simulating the tactile experience of CDs and vinyl and introducing innovative features like a color-sorting filter, FutroM creates an experience that feels as personal as flipping through a physical collection.

The Problem
Digital music platforms often fail to capture the emotional connection collectors have with album art.

For album collectors, the cover art is more than decoration—it’s a visual gateway to their favorite music. However, most digital music players overlook this, focusing solely on track lists and artist names. Many collectors, especially visual thinkers, categorize albums by color, relying on cover art to remember or find their music.
This project set out to recreate the tactile joy of browsing physical collections while solving the problem of inefficient album navigation in digital platforms.
